Elite fashion and mass production (Ideas codification)

Fashion is a complex and influential form of knowledge. It explores the effects of fashion ideas on the global garment system through a case study of the ideas and commodity flows that bring fashions and garments to the market.

Most cosumers can not acces to the elite fashion which appears on major Fashion shows
and fashion weeks.

It's difficult to think about clothing without considering fashion and elite styles.

Trends are generalised through ideas collected from styles and designer's work. So, what you buy is a limited range of clothing styles which are inspired from current fashion. And they are produced by major garment companies.

Fashion's styling is forming structured spaces that bind the elite fashion system to mass production. Briefly, the famous styles that rely in major stores  are produced by garment firms with respect to the current fashion rules.

And of course there's a system protecting the proprietary knowledge at the mass production phase. Nowadays, fashion firms encounter major problems on how to protect their knwoledge  and controversly share it with others without leaking ideas.

In the orher hand, mass production style's companies share designs and fashion freely.
Understanding fashion business requires an understanding of the flow of fashion styles and knowledge across space. Complex knowledges are viscous, they are slow to diffuse, while codified or abstracted styles  are fluid and contagiously spreading.

So we can see that complex fashion ideas and elite are more original and naturally protected from leaking and imitation. Generalised and less codified style's ideas are more encountered to transmission and flowness.
So the knowledge of codification of styles is the clue to protect one firm's elite from
copying companies.

Elite firms do not have the option of limiting fashion knowledge flows by restricting the flow of information, since media recognition is indispensable to their business models.

Actually, mass media and contemporary information transmission speeds up the the diffusion and the rate of fashion ideas, and change the nature of information to be publicly accesible.
So restiction of information become a challenge for elite firms to protect their (savoir-faire) knowledge.

Beauty is all about eyes

the sophisticated look
Want fresh, dazzling-looking eyes without all the cakey makeup?

Even beginners will be able to manage this technique. In light shades of brown, it is ideal for daytime use. Choose darker colors to attract admiring glances in the evening.

elegant, dramatic eyes
Spice up your night and create a gorgeous nightime dramatic look - quick and easy!

To create a gorgeous nighttime look, use light, medium and dark eyeshadow shades in graduated tones. Apply the dark shade along your lash line, the medium shade on the crease, and a light shade up to the eyebrow bone but not beyond. Soften and blend any hard edges so one color seems to melt into the next.

To open up your eyes so that they appear livelier, place a dot of a light shadow in the inner corner of each eye.

For a sexy, smoky effect, trace the upper and lower lashes with a dark shadow then smudge with a blending brush. To optimize the look, this can also be done over eyeliner.

natural-looking eyeliner
Apply natural looking eyeliner quickly and professionally. No fuss – simply amazing!

brighter, wider eyes
Want a real eye-opener for a clean, fresh wide eyed lash look.

well-defined, well-groomed brows
Eyebrows give expression to your face, so frame your eyes with a classic and becoming eyebrow shape.

Roberto Cavalli Autumn (Fall) / Winter 2012 in Milan Fashion show

Roberto Cavalli Autumn (Fall) / Winter 2012  in Milan Fashion show

The year marks the true start of a new decade, and yet 2012's fashion trends are all about revival. True, there is a unique undertone of a modernist style appearing, but take some of the most iconic styles of the 20th century, infuse them with quality, and you'll find the basis for the dominant styles of 2012.

Roberto Cavalli (Italian pronunciation: [roˈbɛrto kaˈvalːi]) (born 15 November 1940) is an Italian fashion designer from Florence. He is known for detailed exotic prints and for creating the sand-blasted look for jeans which are now a standard style for the majority of jean makers.

Enjoy this incredible collection from Roberto Cavalli.

Dolce & Gabbana in Milan fashion week (MFW) 2012

Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in their accumulation presented a work of the fall season.
But fitting when it seemed that fall would be a season of control and refinement, the Dolce & Gabbana compendium split onto the runway in replete operatic, inebriated inflation. It was churrigueresco, rococo, new-money mythological.

The collection opened and was dominated with black looks. Lace shifts, coats with military swagger and swirling gold embroideries, corseted silk dresses with crinoline skirts: this was a collection that was big on costume drama.

A flash of white in frilled tulle or a lace layer under a heavily embroidered black and gold cape, for example was like the froth on a strong cappuccino. And dresses rendered in needlepoint embroidery will surely have a lot of ladies re-evaluating another of their grandmother's favourites.

With the communication of Luciano Tenor on the soundtrack, models sauntered consume the catwalk wearing dresses in lace patterns and shameful tissue tops and skirts through which bras, panties, and merry widows peeked through.

Dresses bore the faces of sweet cherubs and angels. Black skirts and capes were lavishly embroidered in gold swirls and curlicues.
Here in Milan there was no shying away from it even in this new day of tough-love politics and economic rigor.
